A technique for testing small quantities of serum for protective properties against yellow fever by the intracerebral inoculation of serum-virus mixtures into guinea pigs is described. This test requires 0.3 cc. of serum and two animals for each specimen. In our series of tests this technique gave correct results in 95 per cent of the cases.
