Phycomycosis (Mucormycosis) in Indonesia—Description of a Case Affecting the Subcutaneous Tissue

Summary

We report a case of subcutaneous phycomycosis occurring in an Indonesian girl 7 years old. It is the third case reported from Indonesia. The fungus, a phycomycete, was isolated, but species diagnosis was not possible because all attempts to induce sporulation failed.
