In Am J Trop Med Hyg 2009 81: 209–212 the miltefosine levels measured were 15.6 microg/ml and 14.6 microg/mL and not 15.6 mg/mL and 14.6 mg/mL as reported. The authors regret this error. These levels were determined in lysed whole blood and were kindly measured by Dr. Thomas Dorlo, Slotervaart Hospital, The Netherlands. Although the therapeutic range of miltefosine is unclear, these levels are within the range observed in other studies (Dorlo et al., Antimicrob Agents Chemother 2008 Aug;52(8):2855–2860).
