Macracanthorhynchus Ingens from a Child in Texas

Nine acanthocephala recovered over a two-month period from the stools of a 10-month-old child in Texas were identified as Macracanthorhynchus ingens, a common intestinal parasite of the raccoon, Procyon lotor.
