A Human Case of Dirofilaria Immitis Infection
Summary
There was found at autopsy in the right heart of a 40-year-old, diabetic, female resident of New Orleans, a worm 21 cm in length and identified as Dirofilaria immitis. A similar case was reported from New Orleans in 1941.
