Cover art caption: The cover art, titled “The Elephant in the Room” was created by Ireoluwa Adegoke Victor as a submission to the Uniting to Combat NTDs storytelling competition which launched in December 2020. The purpose of the competition was to encourage young people to share their stories and experiences about neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and over 400 entries were submitted from 39 different countries around the world. Ireoluwa's piece was included in a virtual art gallery which can be found here: https://unitingtocombatntds.org/ntdartfestival/. The piece includes photos by Daniel Edeke from Pexels and Kateryna Kon from the Science Photo Library.
About the artist: Ireoluwa Adegoke Victor is a 4th year Medical Student of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is an amateur graphics designer, illustrator and nature photographer. He enjoys reading books and actively volunteers for a better environment and improved mental health for Nigerians.
