This work may be considered as an encyclopedia of malariology prepared by the world's leading malariologists. The editor has made many distinct contributions in this field, but these volumes will remain as a lasting tribute to his own investigative ability as well as his scholarly attainments. In 1930 he authored An Introduction to Malariology and in 1941 he was Chairman of the Publications Committee of the American Association for the Advancement of Science which published a Symposium Human Malaria with Special Reference to North America and the Caribbean Region. Included among the contributors are numerous former colleagues of Dr. Mark F. Boyd from the International Health Division of the Rockefeller Foundation. Chapters by such distinguished foreign malariologists as Christophers, Covell, James, Watson, and many others increase not only the prestige and authenticity of the text but assure it a comprehensive character.
