Summary

  1. 1. Q fever is being reported with increasing frequency in the United States.
  2. 2. Various forms of therapy have been of little benefit.
  3. 3. Experimental work has shown that streptomycin is effective against Q fever in animals.
  4. 4. A case of Q fever with apparent response to streptomycin is reported.
  5. 5. Additional severe cases of Q fever should be treated with streptomycin.
