Treatment of Q Fever with Streptomycin
A Case Report
Summary
- 1. Q fever is being reported with increasing frequency in the United States.
- 2. Various forms of therapy have been of little benefit.
- 3. Experimental work has shown that streptomycin is effective against Q fever in animals.
- 4. A case of Q fever with apparent response to streptomycin is reported.
- 5. Additional severe cases of Q fever should be treated with streptomycin.
