Summary

The above method has been found to be more reliable than the “capillary holder” precipitin technique. Contamination of antisera with antigen was rare because any excess mosquito blood-meal suspension could be wiped off easily with absorbent tissue. Less antiserum was required because of the smaller diameter of the capillary tubes and considerable saving in time resulted from the use of tubes which could be discarded after use.
