Summary

Abietic acid and 14 related compounds were screened for activity against Australorbis glabratus. High activity at 10 ppm was found among abietylamines and among Rosin Amine D and its salts. Fourteen simpler amines were found to be devoid of activity at 10 ppm.

The seat of activity in the abietic nucleus remains uncertain.
