We conclude that there is no evidence for the presence of α-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase among the cytoplasmic enzymes of Entamoeba histolytica, and that a contrary finding was probably caused by the action of a different amebal enzyme on unrecognized contamination in the lithium salt of the substrate used in that investigation.
