A gibbon was repeatedly exposed to Schistosoma haematobium infection and was followed for 68 months after the first exposure. Severe obstructive uropathy and calcification of the bladder and ureters were found despite the fact that the mean excretion of eggs in the urine averaged 167 eggs per day and never exceeded 400 eggs per day.
