Piperazine hydrochloride in daily doses of 1,500 mg/kg. is effective against experimental trichinosis in mice. From 76 to 92 per cent of the adult worms are removed by a 7-day course of the drug. It is suggested that daily doses of 2 to 3 grams of piperazine citrate be tried in human cases of trichinosis.
