Sera from 60 Burkitt's lymphoma patients and from 60 matched controls were tested for antibodies to Plasmodium falciparum by the indirect immunofluorescent and indirect hemagglutination tests. Although the studies failed to show marked differences in sera from patients and controls, they could not exclude malaria infection as a predisposing factor for development of Burkitt's lymphoma.
