This book has undergone six editions since 1957, reflecting a great deal of success. It is an excellently written text, moderately priced by American standards. A comparable book produced in this country would no doubt cost up to twice the 30 shillings charged for it. Within the confines of a little over 200 pages the author managed to present all the most important highlights of medical parasitology in a very attractive manner. It is profusely illustrated. There are 35 expensive colorplates.

Roughly half of the book is devoted to protozoology and the other half to helminthology; 14 pages at the end deal with diagnostic procedures and 11 pages with the treatment of parasitic diseases, followed by an index. Although references are cited throughout the book it does not have a bibliography, obviously for the sake of brevity.
