Summary

A previously undescribed virus has been isolated from Culex spp., Psorophora ferox and sabethine mosquitoes in Trinidad. The name Aruac is proposed for this agent. Aruac virus has not been isolated from any source other than mosquitoes. Neutralizing antibody to the virus has not been demonstrated in human serum. Some of the physical and biological properties of the virus are described.
