Abstract

Abstract

As a method of recovering large numbers of eosinophils, mice were infected with which in 12 days produced a high peripheral eosinophilia; the mice were then injected intraperitoneally with an extract of adult or larval worms. Two days after injection of extract, peritoneal exudates were withdrawn, washed, and enumerated; the exudates were observed to be 70–80% eosinophils with a mean total recovery of 1 × 10 eosinophils per mouse.
