Colorado Tick Fever.

Isolated by B. Rehse-Küpper at Department of Virology,Neurology Clinic, University of Cologne, from a pool of 2 adult male and 2 adult female (L.) ticks collected 13 May 1972 by flagging the vegetation at Eyach, B.-W., West Germany, Lat.48°27'N, Long. 8°41'E. Mixed woodland area. Held in glass tube at 4°C until inoculation.

Ticks ground in 0.03 M tris buffer, pH 7.5 with 10% calf serum. Inoculated 0.02 ml ic + sc in 2-day-old mice on 6 June 1972

Virus not reisolated. but first virus of this type in laboratory.
