Abstract

Summary

Histoplasmin skin tests were applied to 4,211 lifetime residents of eight geographic areas in Thailand. The range of histoplasmin sensitivity was found to be 4.8 to 34.4%, depending on the test area. The prevalence of histoplasmin sensitivity was uniformly low among residents of north and northeast Thailand, whereas rates in south and central Thailand were among the highest yet reported in Asia.
