Abstract

Summary

The hypothesis that the mean length of the precipitates produced in the circumoval precipitin reaction (COP) depends on the mean amount of antiegg antibody present in the serum of animals or man infected with the parasite was tested during the course of infection, and of treatment and treatment-withdrawal, in experimental schistosomiasis. Results indicate that measurement of the mean length of the circumoval precipitates may be useful in the evaluation of drugs against infection with .
