Abstract

This booklet is designed to become an aid to students in the biological and medical sciences. As stated correctly in the preface, this is not a substitute, but merely a supplement “for other methods of receiving information and of learning.” Elementary problems of acid-base balance are treated by simple statements with blank spaces left for the student to fill out. The correct answers are supplied in another column. Essentially this system serves to ascertain whether or not the student has familiarized himself with the subject. Used in this manner, it may be of some value also to the teacher.
