Abstract

Isolations of , other than , from domestic flies have been reported infrequently. Floyd and Cook reported 2 isolations of and 4 of from 165 fly pools containing 3,900 flies.

Richards, Jackson, De Capito, and Maier reported isolations of from domestic flies and humans. The purpose of this note is to record 13 isolations of obtained during that study from 3,263 pools of 65,273 flies. Isolations were made from primary SS plating media and no enrichment or other specific media for were used.

Nine serological types of were identified. was isolated from 2 pools, from 2 pools, and , and once each from other pools.
