Abstract

Summary

Epidemiologic observations in Polynesia suggested that Marks served as a natural vector of dengue in that area. This mosquito species was shown to be capable of transmitting dengue from monkey to monkey in the laboratory. A hemagglutination-inhibition test was used to demonstrate the occurrence of the infection in the experimental monkeys.
