Abstract

The purpose of this communication is to show briefly the results of studies carried out by us on the bacterial flora of the intestinal contents of some specimens of the following arthopods: y .

The following are data related to the and collected from different parts of the Mexican Republic:

Twelve specimens of from Tepic, Nay., adults, male and female; nine specimens of Iguala and Arcelia, Gro., nymphs, male and female; two specimens of from Huejutla, Hgo., adults male and female; two specimens of from Zacatecas, Zac., adults male and female; twenty five specimens of from Arcelia, Gro., Chucándiro Mich., Saltillo, Coah., and Aguascalientes, Ags., adults, male and female.

. Dissection techniques for the collection of intestinal contents were those used by Currie (1936) and Steinhaus (1947).
