Summary

  • 1.  The flagellates of and , when fed to various species of with defibrinated rabbit blood from ball of absorbent cotton, failed to multiply in this insect, or to survive for more than a day.
  • 2.  It is concluded that are not likely to become vectors of cutaneous and visceral leishmaniases, if and when they feed on men or animals suffering from these diseases.
