Summary and Conclusions

  • 1.  Intravenous inoculation of white mice with is a satisfactory method for the study of the disease in animals, and may be used in studying the chemotherapeutic effect of drugs.
  • 2.  The drugs sodium iodide, neostam, fuadin, sulfanilamide, proflavin, thymol, B-9 and sodium propionate were ineffective in the treatment of histoplasmosis in white mice, according to our criteria.
