Intensive course in Tropical Medicine offered at Tulane Medical School, Tulane University

During the 1939–1940 session of the Medical School of Tulane University, an intensive course in tropical medicine has been given a limited number of physicians planning to practice in tropical countries. While undergraduate teaching in tropical medicine has been given at Tulane for many years, this is the first course given to post-graduate students for a period of nearly two decades. The course has consisted of intensive training in the diagnosis of animal parasites and their interpretation, together with the clinical demonstration of representative cases observed in the Charity Hospital of New Orleans.
