Abstract

This is a very timely work which considers in a thorough manner the knowledge we possess regarding the physiology of the spleen and the relation of its reticulo-endothelium to both natural and acquired resistance. Just at this time, when so much interest is manifested in the rôle of the reticulo-endothelium system in infection and resistance to disease, this work is of special value, and all who desire a very complete description of the relation of the spleen to immunity and resistance should consult it.

The book is divided into ten chapters and their rehearsal will suffice to indicate its value.
