Abstract

Summary

Stool cultures from 58 cases of acute bacillary dysentery occurring in Dallas, Texas, in the summer of 1933, yielded 26 cultures of dysentery bacilli. Sixteen of these were identified as var. Flexner, five as Andrewes, and five as var. Sonne. Relative inagglutinability of the Sonne types was observed.
