  • 1.  A family of six, resident in New York City, with four members infected with is presented.
  • 2.  It is probable that the infection was acquired by one parent outside the city and transmitted to the children.
  • 3.  This family infection occurring under good living conditions emphasizes the importance of searching for and adequately treating carriers of .
