Abstract

Summary

  • 1.  The patient presented most of the symptoms and findings encountered in kala-azar.
  • 2.  The diagnosis was corroborated by finding the parasites in the material obtained by splenic puncture.
  • 3.  Treatment with tartar emetic was highly satisfactory.
