ERRATA

In Am J Trop Med Hyg 77: 812 by Wuthiekanun and others, there is an error in the first sentence of the abstract. The correct sentence should be ‘We undertook a prospective study to quantitate Burkholderia pseudomallei in blood, urine, respiratory secretions and pus obtained from 414 patients with melioidosis.’ This change is necessary to ensure that the second sentence of the abstract is correct.

In Am J Trop Med Hyg 77: 1103–1110 by Blackburn and others, the term ‘ecological’ should have been used in the title and throughout the manuscript instead of the term ‘ecologic’. The authors used the term correctly but the shortening of the word was the result of a misunderstanding by the journal staff. The journal regrets this error.
