Mosquito Reduction and Malarial Prevention

By J. A. CRAWFORD and B. S. CHALAM. Pages i–x, 1–102. Oxford University Press, American Branch, New York. Price $1.75

Chas. F. Craig

This little manual upon mosquito reduction and malaria prophylaxis is intended as a beginner's book, especially for malaria inspectors or non-commissioned officers in charge of a regimental sanitary squad. It fulfills its purpose excellently, being written in a plain yet interesting manner and considering the factors causing malaria, the life history of mosquitoes, the habits of mosquitoes, and preventive work. It can be recommended as a most helpful contribution to the prophylaxis of malaria.
