Kala-Azar1

Report of a Case

Roger Brooke
Ancon Hospital, Canal Zone

1. The patient presented most of the symptoms and findings encountered in kala-azar.
2. The diagnosis was corroborated by finding the parasites in the material obtained by splenic puncture.
3. Treatment with tartar emetic was highly satisfactory.
