The twenty-second annual meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine was called to order at 10:00 a.m. May 28, 1926, at the Army Medical Museum with President Joseph Siler in the chair. The first session was attended by forty members and visitors.
Dr. Charles F. Craig read a paper on "The symptomatology of infection with Endamoeba histolytica in carriers." This paper was discussed by Dr. Rivas.
A paper entitled "Characteristics of amoebae of man in culture" was read by Dr. J. H. St. John and was discussed by Drs. Craig and Noguchi.
Dr. Frank Smithies read a paper on "Protozoiasis of the biliary tract: A clinical consideration with reports of cases." This paper was discussed by Drs. Nichols, Craig and Rivas.
A paper entitled "Gastro-intestinal lavage with water at comparatively high temperatures for removing worms from dogs" by Dr. M. C. Hall and Dr. J. E. Shillinger was read by title.
