1. Vitex Peduncularis was tried in 5 cases of malaria, 3 Tertianand 2 Estivo-autumnal, details of which are given.
2. No conclusiveevidence was obtained of any effect whateverof the Vitex onthe symptoms or the plasmodia in malaria.
3. On the contrary, the effect of quinine in 4 cases and apparentlyof Neosalvarsanin 1 case, in all of which Vitex had not beeneffective, wasprompt and striking.
4. The information obtained seems toshow that if Vitex hasany effect in malaria it is negligibleas compared with thatof quinine.
