Howard Dittrick, M. D., Chairman, Publication Committee.

March 14, 1942.

Editor,

American Journal of

Tropical Medicine,

c/o The Williams & Wilkins Co.,

Baltimore, Maryland.

Dear Sir:

In April 1941 the Bulletin of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland published some collected comment on an address by Admiral Butler which appeared in your publication. We are acknowledging the enclosed letter in our Bulletin. Our Bulletin is intended for medical news and comment on Dr. Butler's address was published because of its bearing on the campaign for elimination of syphilis. The information in Dr. Baker's letter is so valuable that I am passing it on to you for any disposition you may think wise.

Perhaps it might be published as a communication.
