1. A case of intestinal myiasis in a boy due to the larvae ofthe "soldier-fly," Hermetia illucens Linné, is reported.This is apparently the second human case to be recorded.
2.Descriptions of the larva and adult fly are given.
3. Thelarvae caused symptoms of local irritation in the stomachandrectum, and spells of fainting.
4. They were apparently acquiredby eating raw fruit or vegetableson which the eggs of the flyhad been deposited.
