In França, Brazil, Anopheles darlingi Root was found to be transmitting malaria. The predominating mosquito from breeding areas was A. albitarsis. The only Anopheles caught in houses was darlingi. In 240 dissections of the latter species, there were encountered 69 infections with malaria parasites. Among 215 salivary glands examined, 16, or 7.4 per cent, showed sporozoites.
