The author has attempted to outline subject material useful for the busy practitioner, the house staff officer, and medical student. Most of the common dermatoses are covered. As with many synopses, readability and orderly classifications suffer. The absence of illustrations and lack of current therapy may detract from its value for the student. As a synopsis it lacks continuity albeit there is a wealth of material presented.
