The First Case of Sparganosis in Colombia

The first case of sparganosis in Colombia has been found, being the third in South America. This seems to be the first of ocular localization to be reported in the Western Hemisphere. Investigations directed toward finding the adult parasite and larvae of Diphyllobothrium species in several animal hosts were negative.
