Three cases of isosporiasis in native-born Tennesseans who have never been abroad are reported. Two of the cases recovered spontaneously; the third, a seventy-seven-year-old white woman, expired with signs of electrolyte imbalance. Necropsy findings showed necrosis of the terminal ileum and colon and a sterile peritonitis. The organisms could not be demonstrated in the tissues.
