From the Editor

The publication of the Journal remains a collaborative effort of the Society's Editorial Board and Council, the Editor, Associate Editor, Managing Editor, Copy Editor, and Editorial Assistant in Atlanta, as well as, the hundreds of professionals who take time from their busy schedules to review manuscripts. Our reviewers, many of them members of the Society, provide invaluable assistance to both the Editorial office and authors. The following is a list of active reviewers for 1997. Each manuscript published in 1997 was seen by two or more of the loyal individuals listed below. These referees also have seen many manuscripts that are still under review or have been rejected. Their considerable geographic diversity is exceeded by the extraordinary breadth in terms of subject matter, expertise, and experience that each one brings to their important task. The Editor's office extends a warm thank you to everyone who contributed this year in supporting and strengthening the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
