Candidates should be members of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (membership application may be submitted with the grant application) and must be willing to present a final report of the project to the Society. In addition to the project description and justification, applications must include a proposed budget, curriculum vitae of the fellowship applicant with copies of no more than five recent publications, verification of approval by the home and host institutions, and letters of support from the overseas mentor as well as at least one previous mentor. Applications should be submitted by August 1, 1996.
