Directory of Opportunities Overseas

The following directory is an initial attempt to provide information about international opportunities to the many interest groups in the tropical medicine community. It is organized into three sections which list Clinical, Public Health, and Research positions. The fourth section lists Bulletin Board Services that either publicize opportunities overseas or match interested individuals with prospective programs. Each of the first three sections is organized by seniority; programs for students or residents are listed separately from those intended for individuals who have completed their training. Some of the entries are listed in more than one section because they are programs seeking different types of personnel. In these cases, there is a main entry in the appropriate section with cross-references in related sections.

Data for this Directory were collected from many sources, including schools of medicine and public health, federal agencies-military and civilian, and professional organizations such as the American Medical Association, the National Council for International Health, and the International Health Medical Education Consortium.
