Archive Exhibit
American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene and American Committee on Arthropod-Borne Viruses
The Archives Exhibit will be located in the Douglas Room and will be open from Monday through Wednesday. The 1992 exhibit, entitled "Why An Archives?",will feature items selected from the 90-year-old collection. Pictorial and written memorabilia will include the 1903 Minutes Book, items from the ASTM/NMS amalgamation debates of the early 1950's, ACAV's first arbovirus catalogue, and materials relating to the awards and lectureships of the Society. A special section of the exhibit will focus on the Society's on-going efforts to document the contributions of persons in tropical medicine. This section will include tapes from the series WORKERS IN TROPICAL MEDICINE and archival materials featuring Paul Russell, Robert Watson, Nat Young and Joel Dairymple.
