Editor's Page Instructions for Contributors

All manuscripts to be considered for publication should be sent to the Editor, W. D. Tigertt, 15 Charles Plaza, Suite 2202, Baltimore, MD 21201 (USA).

Manuscripts must be submitted in English. All submissions should be typed "letter quality" on 1 side of 8 x 11 in. paper, double-spaced, with numbered pages. Manuscripts should be submitted in duplicate. Use 10 pitch type (10 letters/in.) in Courier or a comparable font to allow reading with an optical scanner. The letters must not touch each other. Do not staple or fold manuscripts.

Manuscripts will ordinarily have the following components in this order: a short title of no more than 50 letters and spaces to use as a running head; the full title; the list of authors; a list of the authors' affiliations; the name, mailing address, and telephone and FAX numbers of the author to receive all inquiries and correspondence; a table showing the number of manuscript pages, references, figures, and tables; an Abstract of <250 words; an introductory paragraph; a Materials and Methods section; a Results section; a Discussion section; an Acknowledgments section (to include names of those who assisted, financial support, current addresses of the authors, and an address for reprint requests); a References section; the numbered tables; and the numbered figures with accompanying legends.
