H. W. Brown
School of Public Health, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University

The following cure rates were achieved in Ascaris lumbricoides infections with piperazine citrate syrup: one day treatment, 74 per cent; two days, 94 per cent. A five day course with smaller daily doses but a larger total amount gave a cure rate of 91 per cent. A minor toxic side effect, possibly due to the drug, was observed in only one of 136 patients.
