IV. A CONTROLLED TRIAL OF SULFADIAZINE, DIHYDROSTREPTOMYCIN AND OXYTETRACYCLINE AS LONG TERM PROPHYLAXIS AGENTS IN A HIGHLY ENDEMIC ENVIRONMENT FOR SHIGELLOSIS1

Sulfadiazine, dihydrostreptomycin and oxytetracycline were tested as prophylactic agents over a period of 32 weeks in children living in an environment of high endemicity of shigellosis, and were not effective and practical in the dosages used.
