I like it! The principle author of this paperback book, as an experienced traveler, clinician, educator and researcher, lends a measure of authority which is lacking from many of the books on travel and health. Travel With Health provides an ideal balance of breadth and depth and is clearly the best of any I have seen of the available books on the subject. Comprehensive advice is offered on topics as diverse as exercise, child restraints in cars, and self-treatment of minor illnesses, making this book a useful medical reference at home as well as during domestic or foreign travel.

The subject matter is timely. During the past few years several medical centers around the country, ours included, have established "travelers clinics" which emphasize preventive medical services for individuals and families going abroad, especially those destined to visit or live in tropical or developing countries. Travel With Health will be recommended enthusiastically and frequently to the travelers seen in our clinic at Tulane.
